torn by my desires... seperattion between desire and true want and true need, i want to do nothing, i desire to look correct, to have the right clothes, to look th eright way, to have the right car...Why?

the questioning of oneself is meaningless, it leads nowhere and ends in nothing... is what i desire derived from what everyone else is doing?

verbalization occurs after the fact, words are merely the symbols by which we percieve reality. because our mental capabilities have improved, or evolved, we must have a system by which we can ennunciate the level of thought produced by our brain. enunciate is perhaps not the correct word...clarify maybe. we use words which are only a slight step above hand gestures to communicate to our listener what we are thinking.

But thanks to words, or complex symbolism, we are able to percieve beyond our set boundries of what is most important to us. for example: we, as cavemen, only needed a few gestures for life, i.e., hand to the mouth for food, fingers flitting upwards to signify fire, or index and middle finger pointed down from our upper pallate to signify a predator. but now that we have evolved beyond the basic, we have aquired and we require a more complex system of communication.

Words are meaningless until the whole recognize the meaning. if in England, say, i walk up to a street vendor and i communicate to him that i would like a basket of fish and chips, i say "Yo, nigga, swoop me up some of them sea-gills, and a side o'fuckin fry-pieces." He would not understand...
because his culture would not recognize what i have just communicated, as a viable symbol for fish and chips.

Verbal power is only derived from our commitment to the symbols power.
